Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) has appointed a new General Manager; Robert Tripoli.


Robert Tripoli has stepped into the role, bringing with him a vast experience in various sectors including Exhibitions and Events industry. In his new role, Tripoli will head up QNCC to implement new business and growth strategies, utilising his previous experience in the EMEA region where he spent the majority of his professional experience.


During his career, Tripoli was International Development Director of Fieramilano (and Board Member of foreign branches of the Group), one of the biggest European exhibition Companies with a venue of size of 400,000 sqm. Building on his experiences, his strategic focus is to help deliver exceptional event experiences to QNCC while focusing on attracting events that match the values within Qatar and in line with the Qatari Vision of 2030.


QNCC will endeavour to create enriching MICE experiences for business visitors and develop unique and engaging live shows for local and international visitors.


Robert represented Fieramilano as a member of the EMECA (European Major Exhibitions Centers Association).

QNCC features 40,000 sqm of exhibition space over 9 halls with the capacity for a conference or gala dinner for 10,000 guests, a 4,000-seat conference hall, 2,300-seat lyric style theatre, three tiered auditoria, an additional 52 meeting rooms, all adaptable to accommodate the full range of events.
